My mellow in this case is not so yellow 〽️ . Firing on all cylinders consistently isn’t sustainable. Earlier this week I realized that I was reading four books at the same time. This runs counter to how I usually work - cover to cover. The four make no sense together.
OBIT by Victoria Chang - Poems about deaths in the family
Cell by Stephen King - Cell phones turn people into zombies
Common Sense by Thomas Paine - Hot take on why Britain sucks and America rocks
Light Years by James Salter - Married couple have sex with every other character in the book except each other
I love one of these books. I hate one of these books. The other two are alright. I’ll reign it in. Maybe I’ll even comment further on one of these in a future edition of Weekend Guide! Send me all of the tasty titles you’re reading. I am looking for some inspiration. Comments and emails always appreciated, my loves.
For now, my mind is focused on longer, brighter days ahead. 🌞
