Thank you to all of the great folks who supported Liberation Library by purchasing a copy of Sometime During Eternity. YOU are a patron of the arts. YOU make things happen! Much love!
If you tabbed it out last week, but just forgot to grab yourself a copy. No shade! I have a few copies left. Feel free to slide right over to the Big Cartel and grip yourself one..or two.
*One AMAZING patron (not my mother) purchased 5 copies! Wow. Now that is a fan of the arts.

**I have also have accepted criticism recently that I do not share enough about myself in this weekly newsletter. Here is a picture of me with the zine. Enjoy.
Onwards and upwards. OK. Not yet. One more shameless plug. I made an appearance on one of my favorite podcasts - Bandsplain. In my brief, but moving appearance I share a bit about my lifelong love of the band WEEN. I will at some point in this newsletters write something about Ween. So stick around. In the meantime you can here me talk (Part 8) about why Ween float my boat.
What am I reading? I am in a bit of a zone where I canβt make up my mind. I just finished Devotions: The Selected Poems of Mary Oliver. Like I mentioned before, I am relatively new to this whole digging poetry thing, so Mary Oliver was completely new to me. Mary Oliver is probably one of the best known American Poets - the best selling, and one of the most notable. I was pretty blown away with Devotions. Sort of like when TwinsthenewTrend heard Phil Collins for the first time.
I read it straight through, like a novel. All 200 poems. Pretty much all of them are observations of nature, or observations of herself in nature. Reading through Devotions was almost like repeating a mantra. Her work is reflective, soft, and profound.
Oliver writes a lot about Birds, Trees, Snakes, Dogs, Foxes, Flowers. Real shit! If you are looking for a nice entry point into Mary Oliver - or just an entry point into enjoying poetry. Devotions will hit! π³ π
Ring the bell!
I get it. Enough with the poetry, my dude! I have two novels going side by side. I am a quarter of the way through each. These books could not be more different. But each may deserve their own post down the road.
Pick one (or both) of these up. Give βem a read and play along. I will likely be going a bit deeper on on (or both) of these in the future.
Thanks for tuning in. As always, I say this with peace and love! If you have book recommendations for me, please leave them in the comments.
