I think about this post often and how much I deeply agree with it. The one thing I wish I could have done differently in my 20's is to not take on so much bullshit as gospel. I remember being so mean to myself because I couldn't get through some of these books. I thought my professional future depended upon how many I could read and how many conversations I could spark up using quotes from the authors. *barf* I'm glad people, especially you, are talking about how unnecessary these are to "shape your future" and the real key is just reading in general.
